All employees traveling to the Jamaica Hospital campus are encouraged to:
1. Have their employee identification available to allow for travel to the streets around the campus.
2. Anticipate the need for extra travel time when reporting to work.
3. Consider using mass transit during this construction period.

Specific traffic rerouting details are below.
The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is advising motorists of service road and main line lane closures and detours, as well as exit & on-ramp closures on the Northbound and Southbound Van Wyck Expressway in the vicinity of Jamaica Hospital campus.

- Service road traffic will detour at 101 Ave to Cresskill Place to 95 Avenue to 143 Street to Jamaica Avenue.
- Traffic will return to the Northbound Service Road at Jamaica Avenue.
- Mainline traffic will be detoured at Exit 5 (Atlantic Avenue) onto the Southbound mainline and return to Northbound direction at Exit 6 (Jamaica Avenue).
- Northbound Exit 6 (Jamaica Avenue) will be restricted to local and hospital traffic only.
- Service road traffic will be detoured at Jamaica Avenue to 130 Street to 97 Avenue to Southbound Service Road.
- TRAFFIC AGENTS AT JAMAICA AVE WILL ALLOW LOCAL AND HOSPITAL TRAFFIC TO PASS. EMPLOYEES MAY BE ASKED TO SHOW HOSPITAL ID.
- Jamaica Hospital Campus access will be maintained at all times and traffic leaving the campus will use either 89 Avenue or 91 Avenue to 134 Street to Jamaica Avenue.
- The Southbound mainline entrance in front of Jamaica Hospital will be closed.
- Mainline traffic will have 2 lanes diverted onto the Southbound Service Road at 91 Avenue and will return to the mainline South of Atlantic Ave.
- The Atlantic Avenue Bridge over the Van Wyck Expressway will be closed in both directions. Traffic signals at Atlantic Avenue and the Van Wyck will be temporarily covered to facilitate traffic flow.
- There will be no access to the Southbound Service Road from Eastbound Atlantic Ave.
